Richard is a co-founder and director of SUSD. He has worked in interior design, architecture and multimedia having gained both an M.Arch from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and a BA in Graphic Communication at University College Falmouth.
Richard’s core area of expertise lies in the developing field of responsive environmental design; particularly investigating the emotional relationships between communities, architectural design and the urban environment. He has conducted research into emerging sustainable, renewable energy technologies as well as responsive automotive design and how it integrates within the built environment through his work within the Ford Group. Prior to SUSD he worked at a number of creative agencies including Imagination, Deepend, Syzygy, de-construct and Poke, focusing on emerging convergent media technologies and the relationship between physical and digital space.
